Sean Snell
Sean started his film career as a Special Effects propbuilder in 1987. With a keen interest in digital electronics and computer programming, he introduced various forms of automation to his work in the Special Effects department. Applying microcontroller-based control platforms to areas such as animatronics and lighting control, he developed modular reprogrammable components that were tailored to the requirements of the Motion Picture industry.
Teaming up with Gajdecki Visual Effects in the early nineties, Sean developed Motion Control camera hardware for GVFX, Derek Van Lint and various other private clients. He became an accomplished Kuper Motion Control operator, designed and built electrical interfaces for servo/stepper motor control and opened a machine shop specializing in the fabrication of mechanical components for custom camera rigs.
